about those prizes...
The prizes can't be known until we know how much we can spend on them and who will be our friend on pricing. What we're going to do is spend all the money that comes in on your tee shirts and prizes, so how can we say now what you might win?
Anyway here are the ways to win stuff:
- Most points wins
- Second most points wins
- Most Miles wins
- Second most miles wins
- Single Best HG XC of the year wins
- Single Best PG XC of the year wins
Please note that if half your points must come from distance or you won't win anything. This is an XC Contest is the thing. We're tracking and giving points for airtime, but miles is what it's all about. "Most airtime" is certainly cool as a cucumber, and wow I wish it was me racking up all that airtime, but hey let's be serious: do you really expect to win an XC Contest if you always land in the LZ?
As we know more we'll update this page.

Hay, I sent 38.00 thru pay paypal like it said on the home page for xc09 but i just saw in contest rules 39.00 ???
Hi Dale. I'll let the Treasury Department (aka Merle) know you're good at 38 and that I owe him a buck ... and I just updated that bit to say 39 like the full page says. The thing is we're asking paypal users to cover paypal's cut so we don't have to, and 3 doesn't cover it on a $35 hit. Thanks - and you're good at $38. Gimme a day or so to get in touch with Merle and I'll step up your status to "paid". When you don't see that little bit on the sidebar anymore is when you've been credited.
